Key Studies Supporting Iron Bisglycinate (Ferrochel®):
• Pineda & Ashmead, 2001 (Nutrition): In infants with iron-deficiency anemia,
Ferrochel® showed 3.4x greater bioavailability than ferrous sulfate and
significantly improved plasma ferritin levels. (90.9% vs. 26.7% absorption)
• Pineda et al., 1994: Demonstrated equal hemoglobin improvement with
Ferrochel at 1/4 the dose of ferrous sulfate, and <50% GI distress.
• Makled et al., 2020: In pregnant women, Ferrochel produced higher
hemoglobin, serum iron, and ferritin than fumarate.
• Duque et al., 2014 (Nutrition Journal): In schoolchildren, iron bisglycinate
chelate maintained ferritin levels for 6 months post-supplementation,
showing sustained benefits vs. sulfate.
• Coplin et al., 1991 (Clin Ther): Women preferred Ferrochel 2-to-1 over ferrous
sulfate due to fewer moderate/severe side effects.
Recommended Dosage: 1 capsule daily with food
• Onset of Action: 1–2 weeks
• Safe with prescriptions
• No reported GI issues
• Safe in pregnancy/lactation
• No known medication conflicts
• Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Iron overdose can be fatal to
children under 6.
Unlike basic bisglycinate competitors that only offer iron, IronVance
provides the full hematological support system: clinically dosed
Vitamin C for absorption, B12 for red cell formation, and Folic Acid for
synergy. Compared to traditional iron salts (ferrous sulfate, fumarate,
ferronyl), IronVance offers superior tolerance, consistent efficacy,
and unmatched compliance. It is also the only one in its price class
with a full 90-day supply and all three cofactors.
